Channel 4's Year Dot
If you thought Channel 4 had just about wrung the flannel of reality TV completely dry (how many BBs have there been?), you were quite mistaken.
Year Dot is a groundbreaking project that will give an extraordinary insight into the journey of fifteen young people as they go through what (they hope) will be their life-changing year. If this sounds like your thing, then you're in luck: to celebrate the launch of the project, Dailymotion are holding a competition calling on its users (quick kids, sign up...) to make a video entry, no longer than two minutes long, based around
'A day in the life of...'
The judges are looking for stories which show the real you, your talents and your aspirations for this year. The most interesting and original video will be made into a professional film where a TV crew will film 'A day in the life' of the winner in their home town.
They'll stick it on their homepage and on the official Year Dot site (www.dailymotion.com/yeardot), and thousands of people will be able to watch you taking the bins out and chatting to the guy in the shop who has no idea who you are but wants to be on telly. You will be famous.
So, come, screen-gems. Stop sitting on the sofa, grumbling at the trivialities of nomination day – Itchy wants YOU.
Upload your video to www.dailymotion.com/group/yeardotcompetition. For more on Year Dot check out the official site www.yeardot.co.uk
