The Big Chill House
A good night here can be like the perfect house party: great music downstairs, hammered people draped over each other upstairs, and smokers in the kitchen (ok it's a terrace) nattering nonsense until the neighbours complain. A bad night is like being on the tube at rush hour, squeezed between sleazy city-boys with their house/trance on full blast while having your wallet emptied by a stealthy tramp.

I used to live opposite this place back when it was Sahara Fight Nights. It was so violent that my housemate once got in a pack of beers and just sat back for a couple of hours to watch the show. How things change. Went there a little while back and it was lovely. Friendly, spacious and with some live music. Alright, so the act we saw was a bit Nathan Barley, but at least they're giving people the space to perform.
