Slug & Lettuce

One of the All Bar One–esque bars in town, with the tried and tested formula of lots of shiny surfaces pine wood and wrought iron chairs. Now chain places like this can be bland as you like, but the S&L have got it just about right –at least in Birmingham. Tapestry malarky adorn the walls, and a young attractive crowd fill the place throughout the week and cram in at the weekends. Friendly and efficient staff, mostly catering for a pre–club crowd. Good for a more sedate afternoon with the papers during the day.
