James Brindley

I've always fancied the idea of having a pub named after me. It's a shame there isn't some sort of property–for–pints–drunk related reward system –I'd have a small chain by now. Personally I think I'd be a much more worthy candidate than Mr Brindley who was renowned not so much for his drinking prowess as his canal–making ability. It's appropriate that the pub is more a quiet pint than a raucous 15 beers an hour type of place. Not the obvious stopping point, but inoffensive and a nice change from the Broad Street hubbub.
