Leftbank Restaurant (closed)
Because it used to be a bank you see? Ho ho. Ignoring the miserable play on words, this is a jewel in Broad Street's already pretty jewel–laden crown. Classically swanky to the point where trainers and jogging bottoms will be met with gasps of camp horror. So for maximum entertainment, you should dress up in your shellsuit and demand the finest seats in the house. Once they know you're serious about eating here, they'll treat you with a modicum of respect. But ignore them, because the food's awesome –braised pigs' cheeks with foie gras anyone? An eclectic off–the–wall menu with prices and attitude that reflect its wadded clientele.
