Wine Republic

Attached to the Rep theatre is the Wine Republic – aka REP bar –, but it would do a roaring trade even without the thesps. To fit in, it's important to bellow your order of dry white wine spritzers at the top of your voice, before bowing to the crowd behind you. Home to a large dining area and a glass–fronted bar with outside seating, this place attracts those who know their Chardonnay from their Rioja, or at least those who think they do.
