Mellow (closed)

It's a well–known fact that mellow people make the best lovers, while frantic, loud people pop their puds in a matter of seconds. The same thing seems to happen with bars –where others shout and scream, Mellow calmly attracts a decent crowd that have little interest in being aurally raped by the kind of ear–splitting garage pumped out by feeble venues throughout the country. The menu is divided into big bites, which include the soon–to–be legendary 'stunwiches' –their own type of meat sandwich plus chips and salad for around a fiver. Altogether more sophisticated without ripping you off, Mellow tends to attract a student crowd leaning more towards Morrissey than Van Morrison.
