Punjab Paradise
Lenny Henry used to eat here but that should have no bearing on your decision. One of the best known balti houses in Brum, Punjab has massively expanded the seating area and 'watered down' its curries –possibly to satisfy the underdeveloped palates of the curry tourists. Done out like one of Saddam's palaces, it reaches a number 11 on the ornate scale, has had several changes of owner and seen hand to hand fighting in the streets. Mind you, the service is still superb and you could happily camp under a table naan.
