The Anchor Inn
Digbeth may have lost its flagship pub, The Dubliner, to a big, nasty fire in 2006, but there are still a good few decent drinking holes to check out that won't have you shuffling to the bar through a pile of ashes. The Anchor Inn's well worth a look in - it's a bit of an old school pub and comes complete with rickety bar stools and flashing one-arm bandits. Decent grub and friendly service gets it a thumbs up (and fingers crossed it doesn't get torched too).
