The Varsity
The Varsity chain aims to be 'at the centre of student life.' Being at the centre of where most students live would be a good start. Harborne's just a bit too trendy and sophisticated (Harborne Run excepted). Two meals for a fiver is a good deal, but the drinks promos aren't always as alluring. The huge portions mean you can easily scrounge off your mate who has yet to spend his entire loan, though overall, the food's not worth writing home about... but your overdraft's another matter.
