National Motorcycle Museum
Let's get the superlatives out of the way first - the National Motorcycle Museum is recognised as the finest and largest motorcycle museum in the world. With bikes from the turn of the century, right through the golden years of the 1930s to the 1960s (when British motorcycles ruled the world, apparently), this is a must-do for two-wheel fans. For anyone dragged along by one such person, Itchy suggests whiling away the time by playing a game of 'spot the Harley owner' to the tune of a well-known Geordie telly programme; 'Ooh - biker! Ooh - biker! Ooh - biker, biker!'
