You don't need to roam too far to find some open spaces to get sweaty in. Just two miles from the city centre, the Ackers offers more activities than a Mr Motivator boxset. The dry slope is worth skipping in favour of Tamworth Snowdome, but there's still climbing, canoeing, archery and those team challenge days that are supposed to help you get on better with annoying colleagues despite encouraging you to push them down hills, shoot at them and drown them.
