The mixture of vintage furniture and modern, shiny bar sums up how eclectic the Boiler Room is. Live bands one night then hip hop MCs the next mean Forrest Gump's old dear was on the right track with her box of chocolates analogy – you never know what you're gonna get, but it's hard to care in a place this lovely. Jump in a cab, get away from the drunken idiots in the city centre and you won't regret it. Sofas and bean bags around the dance floor make a deceptively large venue feel cosy and intimate. Throw in a drinks list as inviting as the door staff and it's seriously hard to fault the place.
