Bennetts
The columns at the entrance, high ceiling and stone floors positively scream "I used to be a bank"; but the big, comfy seats and murals on the walls are welcome changes, and however nicely we ask, we've never managed to convince the staff to give us a tenner's worth of 20p pieces. It calls itself a wine bar, which does seem unnecessarily pompous, but does account for the suits and suits' secretaries that ram the place come lunchtime. On a busy night it can get quite jovial but don't come down here for a piss up or on the pull. Your boss could well be lurking in one of the many coves, or at least one of the board will be.
