Snuggled just behind the Mailbox is a Victorian pub that packs a walloping pint. If your idea of 'Victorian' is one of ankle length black skirts, stockings and lace trimmings and a cheeky wink, then this place will definitely tickle your fancy. Whether your poison is a pint of pale ale, a brandy and Coke, or six or seven snakebites, this place will deliver with gusto. The Craven Arms offers a cosy period atmosphere, but you just know that underneath all those skirts and petticoats, she ain't wearing any knickers.
