The Works

Seriously discounted books jostle for space with art materials, greeting cards and old biddies looking for books about knitting. They do a nice line in toys for the grandkids too, plus cheap, plastic musical instruments (which will we imagine be of far more interest to the Itchy reader). It seems some shoppers are a little over-enthusiastic – when we went there was a guitar with its neck snapped off discarded on the floor. If you're looking to learn a new craft or pick up a cheap book for a long train journey, The Works is your best bet. Alternatively, entertain fellow passengers and learn the new craft while on the train.
