Ikon Gallery

Staging free exhibitions by leading British and international artists, Ikon offers the people of Brum the kind of art more commonly found in East London – featuring all forms of media including sculpture, video, photography and painting. With side project, Ikon Eastside, changing location each year and Ikon itself holding exhibitions off-site, the gallery constantly evolves and pushes boundaries. As well as a great tapas restaurant and a book shop, the highlight is the lift – with a sound system that changes pitch depending on whether you're ascending or descending.
